The Mental Health Foundation believe no-one living in the UK should be deprived of the opportunity for good mental health because of who they are, the community they come from or where they live. We’re developing better ways to support good mental health in every community.

Story

Firstly, thanks for visiting our JustGiving page - it really means a lot.

We're supporting and raising awareness for the Mental Health Foundation by doing three tandem skydives from 10'000ft over the skies of Maidstone on October 8th 2011. It's something we've never done before and its a real challenge but we'd really appreciate it if you could help us reach our target of raising £800 to put towards research into Mental Health conditions.

In case you're not familiar with the charity:

The Mental Health Foundation is the UK’s leading mental health research, policy and service improvement charity. It aims to improve awareness and remove the stigma of Mental Health issues, provide advice to help people better manage their mental health and wellbeing, and provide practical solutions to improve the quality of life of sufferers in the UK.

The charity tackles everything from autism and depression to the effects of sleep deprivation and workplace stress - working to support the 1 in 4 people in the UK who will experience some form of Mental Health condition every year. This is a really big issue with far reaching consequences: 10% of children, 25% of adults and a huge 90% of convicted criminals have some form of Mental Health disorder.

We would really appreciate your support, thanks in advance for helping us to reach our goal!
