Hi I’ve worked for British gas for 24 years now as an engineer around the Manchester area.

As I hit 40 in March I decided I wanted to test myself and do my bit for charity so I signed up to do a one mile open water swim in a lake down in Windsor

This charity is very close to my heart as when I lost my son a few years back I had the chance to experience firsthand the amazing nurses / staff in a children’s hospital and see the great work that they do, They truly are a compassionate and special kind of person who help not just the patients but the family’s too!

So I’m very glad to be involved in a day where I can be part of giving to this very worthwhile cause
