Climbing Kilimanjaro · 4 June 2010

We care for patients with a range of needs including symptom management, rehabilitation as well as end of life care. Our goal is to provide physical, psychological, social and spiritual care for our patients and their loved ones in a calm, peaceful and welcoming environment.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In 2006, my aunt was admitted to St. Andrews Hospice in Airdrie following a long battle with cancer.  She recieved round the clock care from this charitable organisation, which allowed her to live out her final days with a little dignity and in relative peace compared to the busy wards of the oncology hospitals.

St Andrews hospice is funded entirely by charitable donations and it provides an enormously important service to those people who truly need it.

Few of us will be spared to live our lives without someone close to us being touched by cancer, and it is only through continued support from the public that facilities like this can remain open.

On the 4th of June 2010, I will be leaving with a group of volunteers for Africa to follow in the footsteps of Chris Moyles, Denise Van Outen and Cheryl Cole to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of this worthy cause.

I hope that you will all dig deep and make this event a success by donating what you can.  I've set myself a target of £4000.00 but I'm hoping with your help we can smash that.

Thanks for taking the time to read my page and for the donation I hope you'll make.
