Thanks for taking the time to visit my sponsorship page.
Over the past year or two I have been doing a bit of cycling to try to stay healthy and keep fit. It’s time to take on a challenge. To put the training to good effect and have a focus. With this in mind for 3 days from 5 May 2011, I, along with a few mates will be attempting to cycle the 300 miles from Anglesey in North Wales to Cardiff in South Wales for Kidney Wales, an organisation that raises funds for kidney patient care, promotes services to prevent and treat kidney disease and to help develop a better quality and quantity of life for patients families and carers.
Why did we chose the charity Kidney Wales? A couple of us have family members who suffer from kidney problems and we’d like to raise awareness of the charity and it’s good work and hopefully make a difference, however small, to kidney patients.
All the costs of the challenge will be covered personally, so all your money will be going to a good cause.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Fact: Kidney disease has become increasingly common in recent years and there has never been a greater demand for renal services. At present around 1 in 10 people have some sort of kidney disease and 1 in 1000 will develop end stage renal failure and require either dialysis or transplantation.
So please dig deep and sponsor me. THANKS!!!
