Flora London Marathon 2008 · 13 April 2008 ·

Every day 250 people in the UK start losing their sight. With your help, we can be there when people need us most, support independent living, create an inclusive society and prevent avoidable sight loss. Every pound you raise will help create a future where sight loss is no longer a barrier.

In 2006 – I lost the sight in my right eye, due to rapid developing glaucoma. At this time I still have excellent sight in my left eye, however clearly the loss of sight in my right eye has affected me. I am under constant monitoring in order to ensure there is no further loss of sight in my good eye. I am fortunate clearly it could be far worse

To lose sight is a very scary thought – Imagine for a moment just what it would be like to be blind.

The RNIB support thousands of blind and partially sighted people. This charity needs our support and with this in mind I agreed to run the London Marathon in 2008.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: RNIB will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
