Well, the good news is that we have Been up, jumped out and floated down to earth.

We, (myself, my brother Dave and our friend John Rose) will be attempting a sponsored parachute jump in aid of the Farleigh Hospice. The Hospice looked after my Mum in the last few weeks of her life. She passed away on the 18th of June this year. John's mother also passed away at the Hospice 2 years ago.
We cannot praise the people at the Farleigh Hospice enough, and we have decided to do this to raise money as a token of our thanks.
Whilst I can't admit to being too keen on it, it seems easier than running a bloody marathon (which was the only other thing we could think of).
We will be training on the 13th and, weather permitting, we will be jumping on the 14th of september. A 3500 ft static line jump (whatever one of those is).
All donations, big or small will be greatly appreciated, and will be used to great effect.
We are funding the jump ourselves, so all donations will be going directly to the Hospice. Don't worry if you can't use this to donate as we will be passing among you shortly with sponsorship forms, so there is little chance of escape.
