Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by young sudden cardiac death (YSCD). We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

CRY - Cardiac Risk in the Young - is a charity aimed at raising awareness of the 8 young people who die in the UK each week with undiagnosed heart conditions.

On 20 July Vicky, Ben, Charlie, George, Bailey (our 4 month old puppy) and I will be walking across 8 bridges in Central London as part of a CRY walk.  We'll be walking with our friends Paul, Claire and Ellen, and in spirit with Tom, their son and brother, who died unexpectedly in his sleep last October aged only 14.  No one should go through what Paul,Claire, Ellen and those close to them are going through - CRY have been, and are, an enormous support and comfort to them.

We don't often ask for donations but this is a very special walk we'll be doing and we'd ask you to give generously.  Thank you.
