RNIB - helping blind and partially sighted people. Every day another 100 people will start to lose their sight. RNIB is the leading UK charity offering practical support and information to anyone with a sight problem. Our pioneering work helps - not just with braille, talking books and computer training but with imaginative and practical solutions to everyday challenges. This will be my second time competing in the Great North Run - I finished the 2007 race in 02:09:18 and was 17,053 out of around 36,000 runners.  I am hoping for much better this year as I had been carrying an injury for some months prior to the 2007 race.
