Alan Rickman Birthday Donation · 8 February 2005

The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art has a worldwide reputation for excellence in theatre training. RADA believes that talented actors and technicians should be entitled to training regardless of their financial circumstances. As a charity we fundraise to support the students and work of the Academy.

Story

Thank you for visiting The Alan Rickman Birthday fundraising page set up on behalf of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

This fund, established by members of the Alan Rickman Fan Club to commemorate his birthday, is now in its 3rd year.  On behalf of Alan and the student recipients, the RADA would like to thank all contributors, past and present, for their generous support in providing this bursary fund on an annual basis.

The Academy runs an ongoing fundraising campaign to provide scholarships and bursary awards to enable students on the full time courses at the Academy to complete their training.  Funds raised each year are allocated to students in genuine financial need and this provides a real life-line for the recipients.

Students in receipt of the funding for 2004/5 were:

On the 3 Year Acting Degree Course:-

Annie Graham-Brown - Current 2nd year, Joseph Kloska - Current 3rd year, David Ononokpono - Current 2nd year, Oluwunmi Mosaku - Current 2nd year, Paul Rhodes - Graduated July 2005, Jeanette Spark - Current 2nd year.

On the 2 Year Theatre Technical Arts Course:-

Matthew Bigg - Current 2nd year, Yvonne Deighton - Current 2nd year, Jonathan Martlew, Current 2nd year.

Thank you once again for your generous support of the Academy's students.
