Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

When I had bowel cancer, I had chemotherapy through Link4Pink a charity which supports the Victoria Breast Cancer Care Unit at the Royal Oldham Hospital. I am hosting a few events to raise money for them including evenings of entertainment. I am also going to ride my vintage Yamaha XS1100 Midnight Special motorbike from Land's End to John O'Groats which is over an 800 mile trip.

The care I received when I had bowel cancer was fantastic. I always said if I came out of it I would give something back. I also want to raise awareness about bowel cancer as it can be an embarrassing subject and their is a lack of awareness about the condition.

Please help me support them and raise as much money as possible to help them continue their excellent work.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Pennine Acute Hospitals Charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

If you are a fan of good music, festivals and enjoying yourself, you can also support the cause by visiting http://www.fairportconvention.com/cropredy_news.php#news1

Fairport Convention have kindly offered to raise money to support our campaign by donating the money raised from their annual auction of 2 highly prized collector's tickets numbered 1 & 2  for the Cropredy Festival in August. Full details are on the link above - a collector's item, a great weekend and supporting this great cause into the bargain!
