Flora London Marathon 2009 · 26 April 2009 ·

SeeAbility provides ambitious social care for people with learning disabilities, autism and sight loss. We encourage them to challenge what they expect from life, from themselves and from wider society - and they in turn challenge us all to think about what’s possible, and to rethink disability.

Story

dear friend,

thanks for visiting my fundraising page. AYE, once again I will be pounding the streets of the city to raise monies for those less fortunate with life limiting disability.  I am blessed to be able to do this and it is a privelege to help. Another 26.2 mile run, 50,000 plus steps and yep will try to achieve another pb of 3:40 god willing.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: SeeAbility - The Royal School for the Blind gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please please please support & sponsor me now!   Thanks as always to continued support and encouragement from you all.  YEEHAA !!

Pinch yourselves! This is not a dream! I am going to run the Flora London Marathon 2009. I have chosen to raise money for SeeAbility which does fantastic work in improving the lives of blind and partially sighted people who have additional disabilities on top of that. Without SeeAbility, these people would have very little to live for but with our help, we can offer them the gift of independance like learning to communicate verbally, making a cup of tea unassisted or even crossing the street. When I think of all of the training and the pain of running 26.2 miles, I now just think how lucky I am and how wonderful it would be to relieve just a little pain from others who really need it. To prove my dedication to the cause, I would like to ask that, instead of birthday cards and presents this year, you please donate to this sponsorship page. Meeting my personal target of £1,300 would be the best birthday present I could wish for. Thank you all for your generosity and support, it is greatly appreciated
