Hi everyone, As you may or may not know, I’m doing the ‘3 peak challenge’ on 21st June 2008. I’m doing it to raise sponsorship & awareness for Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia & MS, because one of my friend’s brother-in-law Matt Sinclair was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia on 19th October 2005 when he was only 27. I’m raising funds for The Paul O'Gorman Centre to try & make Matts life & many others like him as long & pain free as possible. I’m also raising funds for Revive MS Support because I know 2 people with MS. James McEachran, who works along side me in Solaglas & my ex girlfriends mum Marilyn McLellan also has had it since she was in her 20’s. She’s now in her 60’s. I’ve seen 1st hand only some of the difficulties they have & anything that I can do which will help in some way is the best I can do. We don’t know how lucky we are to have our health. If you know what the ‘3 peak challenge’ is you'll know I’m not doing it for fun. I originally thought it was just climbing 3 mountains in a row, next to each other! It is in a row, but not next to each other. It involves is climbing the highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis - 4,409 feet), Wales (Snowdon - 3,560 feet) and England (Scafell - 3,210 feet) - 11,180 vertical feet and all in under 24 hours!! Please dig deep and sponsor us for when we attempt to take on the UK Three Peaks Challenge. There are less than 4 months to go until our "Longest Weekend of the Year Trek"! If you can please give as much as you can. Both these charities do amazing work & need as much money as they can get. Thanks for your support, Alastair 07734 468 549 Just as extra incentive. I’m going to put £30 into each charity at the start, but the extra incentive is that I’m not going to cut my already quite long hair until the day after the walk. That’s 4 months of growth. Then if I manage that I’ll match the original £30 into each charity. Don't forget my other page: www.justgiving.com/alastairbaldwin2 Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Revive MS Support will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
