As you know I have climbed mountains in the UK, the Alps and the Himalayas. I have scaled rock walls, absieled down cliffs, canoed down rapids and through the wilds of Canada and all just for the fun of it. So when it came to finding a challenge that I thought was worth sponsoring me for I went for something I will find hard.

I haven't been on a motorbike for 29 years and then it was only 50cc. On this trip I will be riding a 500cc Royal Enfield Bullet from Amritsar to Delhi, over 1,300km (that's 800 miles). The roads will in places be un-tarmaced and hazards will include dogs, cows, camels, elephants and mad lorry drivers.
