Hi - Thanks very much for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.

I have taken the plunge and decided to run the Flora London Marathon on 26 April 2009.  It has always been one of my ambitions to complete a Marathon and the London seems like the most fun one to do for 'first timers' like myself.  Apart from putting myself through this agony and enjoying the occasion I want to make it count.

This year I will have served 17 years in the RAF and more recently I have been involved with carrying troops backwards and forwards in to our global trouble spots.  Whilst I generally bring most of them home physically unscathed, there are those who come home injured or worse.  Servicemen and women and their families will often need the support of organisations like RAFA at times like this, so I have decided to pledge my support to this charity.  They receive no assistance from the government, but need more and more money to help the increasing number of service veterans.
