My story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

My mad idea to run the Flora London Marathon is perhaps not the best plan I have ever had - what with breaking my ankle at the beginning of 2008 and having glandular fever at the end of 2008, training is not exactly what you would call going to plan!

I have however decided NOT to defer my place till 2010, but instead to run (perhaps walk!!!) regardless for this very worthy charity....

As a mother to two girls, one of whom has Albinism, I know more than most the importance of help and advice into this rare genetic condition.

The Albinism Fellowship is a valuable resource in providing this. Whether that be for the person affected or friends or family.

Simple every day tasks and events that most people take for granted, can be extremely difficult for people with this condition and very little is widely published to help make life easier or to educate.

This is why, it is vital that the Albinism Fellowship continue to raise funds and awareness of this rare condition. And in some cases act as an advocate for the person concerned.
