We believe decent homes are the heartbeat of strong communities and so we also fight for land rights for women, upgrade urban slums and informal settlements, improve access to water and sanitation, and help communities become more resilient in the face of natural disasters.

Story

Starting November 1, 2009, the Albion FC will collectively shave their faces and begin growing their beard to raise money for Habitat for Humanity. Each player will solicit daily sponsorship for their beard growth, and on the day they cave n' shave, will collect the pledged amount of donations from their supporters.

Please contact whoever invited you here if you wish to pledge. Even daily pledges as small as 25p or 25 cents are welcome, they will add up!

No trimming of the beards will be allowed, nor will sculpting (outside of neck shaving as people have jobs and may need to look presentable). It must be full beard growth, so no moustaches, goatees, or Van Dykes (unless that's 100% of what you grow!).

All money raised will go towards the team sponsored housing build in South Africa (project code 107GBF35). Please see the photos on the left for the house built with the nearly £4000 we raised last year!

Thank you for your support!
