Story

UPDATED - 27-4-2007

Well my training was going well. 4 weeks ago I had got up to running 18 miles in 2:51. However I went skiing for a few days to Chamonix and unfortunately had an accident. No I wasn't doing anything stupid this time. I hit a rock in the powder snow at a modest speed. And before you say it no there were no warning signs like other rocks, dark bits of snow or bumps in the snow.  It was just bad luck. Anyway thanks so much for already agreeing to sponsor me, I hope you don't mind if I defer the sponsorship to next year's Edinburgh Marathon in 2008.

---------------------------------

I am doing the most stupid thing . I have challenged Ruth at the Edinburgh Marathon in May 2007. I had hoped my ballot entry would atleast be delayed until 2008. Unfortunately it hasn't. She's only done 3 Marathons before. I've run 10miles before. Lets face it I'm going to lose . I figured it might be a good idea to raise some cash for something useful whilst I am being humiliated. That way the win/lose balance is kept right. Please sponsor me so that I feel guilty on a weekly basis for 6mths to train hard enough so I don't A) hurt myself, and B) don't come too far after Ruth finishes.

Al.
