We've also raised £2,267.40 from direct sponsorship making a grand total to date of £3,132.40 so we're almost halfway to our target!!

Thankyou to everyone who has sponsored us so far. Kate has now competed in 2 half marathons and Peter's training is also going well. I know its a cliche but during a 10 mile training run when we're both thinking '"Why am I doing this?" your support really does make all the difference.

Those of you who know the former sewage pumping station which is The Pumphouse may also be aquainted with its authentic but not particularly attractive sanitary arrangements. The Pumphouse will be having a facelift in 2009. Refurbishment plans include a small foyer with bar area, dressing room and toilets. This modest extension, which is necessary to meet licencing requirements will make it even more suitable for a variety of performance and community uses.

The Pumphouse has in the past, and we hope in the future, been used by various artists wishing to try out new material prior to the Edinburgh Fringe. With this connection we feel it is the obvious choice for us to support by running the Edinburgh Marathon.
