This run means a lot to me for many different reasons.

I have chosen to sponsor the pituitary foundation as having had cushings myself and three transsphenoidal operations to remove the tumor I personally know first hand what suffering from pituitary realated diseases is like and I sympathise with those who have similar issues. The pituitary foundation is a wonderful charity and needs as much support as possible to help sufferers and their familes with pituitary disorders.

I am hoping that the training involved with help with my fitness and getting myself back to the Alenka that I was before I had cushings. Running when you are triple the size you should be is never easy and working your way back to fitness is an uphill struggle. I am hoping this is the first of many run's and they will encourage me to keep on getting fitter and fitter.

As you can see there are many different reasons why this run means a lot to me and I hope to complete it without collapsing in a heap before the end. So please dig really deep as the pituitary foundation is a GREAT charity and really needs your help.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
