Story
For many months now I have been growing a great big bushy beard and I think its about time to get it off my face. My lovely friend Ingrid Turner convinced me to turn this rather unexciting task into something more worthwhile and raise money for Survival International.
My beard is scheduled to be shaved on Saturday 9th May but you can still donate for another couple of months afterwards. The highest sponsor gets to choose how I shave my beard. I pledge to wear your design for a whole day before I finally go completely hair free. So when you donate, don't forget to recommend a style whether its a handlebar moustache or mutton chops.
Survival helps tribal people protect their lands, defend their lives, and determine their own futures - there are over 150 million tribal people worldwide, almost all suffer relentless persecution. They are the only international organisation fighting for tribal peoples worldwide and are totally reliant on public support. This is because they do not accept funding from governments, in order to retain their powerful and independent voice. This year is Survival's 40th anniversary so with your help we can ensure they are around for another 40 years to continue the fight for tribal people's rights. For more information on the work they do please visit:

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Survival International gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please be generous as possible. Any amount, however small, will help protect tribal peoples' rights around the world.
