Story
Latest news... 19.09, by Deirdre - The End! After a quick, short cycle from their hotel in Wick this morning the team crossed the finish line at 10:15 this morning. For the first time they were all keen to set off early this morning and enjoyed their last cycle together in to John O'Groats. After lots of celebrating, photo taking and raising a glass or two, they got in the van and off they drove to Inverness. Alex felt rather sad when his bike was fixed to the van. The end of the journey. With friends and family joining them, Inverness should be preparing for a hard core party! Or perhaps not! Alex says it all feels very strange.

Back story:
Well, I don't suppose many of you would have imagined me as a natural born cyclist, pushing a little extra weight through the saddle!
However, in February this year I decided to take on the challenge of cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats. Together with 3 friends we aim to achieve our goal, cycling an average of 60 miles a day, over 15 days.
I was inspired to do this by Jenni Herrett, a good friend who works tirelessly for a charitable organisation - Kangaroos.
Kangaroos provides leisure activities for disabled children and young adults in mid Sussex (to find out more about their work check out their link on this page). They have just been awarded a brand new 16 seater minibus from The Lords' Taverners provided they raise £25,000 over the next 6 months. Every penny I raise on this cycle ride will go towards this appeal so please help me get them their bus. Thank you.
I am not asking you to join me on the ride! However, a few pounds donated will make a difference.
I really appreciate you helping me focus on this challenge!
