We exists to enhance the experience of children needing surgery in the UK. We strive to advance paediatric surgery by investing in vital technologies and related training that make the impact of surgical procedures easier for children, their families and the medical teams who care for them.

Story

I've been volunteering at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust for around seven years. In the last year or so, the hospital radio station there has been supporting the Children's Hospital Trust Fund raise money as part of The Pluto Appeal, which has recently managed to buy an incredible piece of equipment which allows for far more intricate surgery on babies and children, with faster healing and smaller scars.

Improving care for poorly babies and children at the hospital is an ongoing project, and provides real benefit not just to those in South-West London, but from much further afield.

Having been inspired by the work of the CHTF, and of the paediatric staff at Chelsea and Westminster hospital, I'll be taking part in my first ever distance-run to raise money so that they can continue to make such an immense difference.
