Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page!
On the 11th April 2009 I will be racing (on foot) 126km (78 miles) in less than 24 hours across the vast expanses of the oldest desert in the world, through the endless gravel plains and on to the Skeleton Coast, one of the most hostile coastlines in the world.
I will be completely self reliant from the beginning to the end of the race and will carry all food and equipment on my back. Temperatures are likely to range between 5 - 35 degrees, but could easily be more extreme than this.
This is a serious undertaking and will be the toughest physical and mental challenge that I have ever faced.

Having worked for the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice for over 5 years I have seen first hand the outstanding service that this very special place provides. Frequently I have been touched by the level of care and support provided to patients and their families suffering from terminal illnesses. I am delighted to have the opportunity to help raise badly needed funds for this cause.
