I Can't Walk… But I Can Fly!
(well, at least be pushed out of an aeroplane!)

So what am I doing?
On Sunday 13th July 2008, tied in tandem to an experienced instructor from the London Parachute School, I will jump out of a small plane flying over Oxfordshire at 13,500 feet, fall for 40 seconds, reach about 120mph, and then spend the next 5 minutes floating gracefully down to the ground under a parachute.

And why am I doing this?
I lead a diverse and busy life (when my fatigue and physicality allow) doing a variety of voluntary and other work to do with disability awareness, equality and access. I also like doing media work. And of course, I like to go out and have fun. Sometimes I combine all three, like when I co-devise and perform wheelchair burlesque cabaret shows! But I couldn't do any of this without assistance, support and help from many other people and organisations, two of whom focus on, and work very hard for, people with MS. Doing this skydive, and fundraising for it, is one way I can give something back.
