Drumathons are something of a tradition at Nexus, going back to the first 24 hour Drumathon 11 years ago. Since those humble beginnings, we've taken on greater records, gaining our first world record of endurance drumming in 2002 at a mere 27.30 hours! Very quickly after this the record was broken at 44 hours by the staff of a Norwich based music shop. Then in 2005 we got the record back again at 52.15 hours. But in 2007 the same music shop took the record back at 60 hours. So this year we're looking to do a minimum of 60 hours of endurance drumming. Apart from the obvious challenges of swollen wrists and knees, light-headedness and halucinations, having only a few minutes break ever couple of hours to use the toilet could be the biggest challenge of them all!
