2010 Bupa Great Manchester Run · 16 May 2010 ·

We provide specialist end-of-life care, and a wide range of support services, to over 1,200 people who are living with a life-limiting illness in the Wigan Borough. Many patients are cared for in their own homes, although we also care for people living in care homes and in our In-Patient Unit.

Story

On Thursday February 11th, my mum passed away after battling cancer for a long time.

Throughout her treatment and in her last remaining days, Wigan and Leigh Hospice took care of her and instead of making her think it was somewhere to die, it was somewhere to go and be loved, be taken care of and to have a good time with friends.

The Hospice took care of my mum and I would like to give something back.

I am running the Manchester 10k run again on May 16th with Beth Plant and Megan Ohri. We would like to raise as much money as possible for Wigan and Leigh Hospice in memory of Susan Fairweather

I would be very happy if you would help by sponsoring us.
