As many of you know my beloved mum lost her battle with Pancreatic Cancer at the young age of 62. She worked hard all her life and was a devoted wife and mother. Having decided to follow their dreams my parents retired early to a beautiful part of Spain and not long after she was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer.
My mum completed the annual Cancer Research charity walk as planned despite being half way through chemo and ignoring doctors advice. She fought bravely to the end and this will be my tribute to her memory.
Pancreatic cancer is the fifth most common cause of cancer mortality and causes five percent of all cancer deaths each year. It has the lowest survival rate and is also the only cancer that has seen no improvement in this figure over the last 40 years. Hence why the Pancreatic Cancer Research fund really appreciate your donations.
