Norwich 100 · 12 May 2009

Fighting Barrett's Oesophagus and oesophageal cancer by maintaining the Barrett's Oesophagus registry (UKBOR), funding research and providing patient support. Early diagnosis and public awareness of Barrett's Oesophagus and oesophageal cancer will help stem the steady increase of deaths in the UK.

Story

Thanks for visiting my page.

I'm doing the Norwich 100 mile bike ride in aid of the Barrett's Oesophagus Foundation and in memory of my dad, Bob Ramsay.

Dad passed away in March 09 following a short illness that was only diagnosed just after Christmas 08. Oesophageal Cancer is a type of cancer that shows effects often when it is too late to treat - By the point of diagnosis there was nothing that could be done to save him.

There is a section on the left of this page that explains what Barrett's do, and I hope to support them by reaching my fundraising target. 100 miles will be a challenge but I will be completing it with my brother in law Otis, there will be photo evidence!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Barrett's Oesophagus Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
