In March, I’m heading to Uganda along with 11 colleagues to help build a secondary school for around 450 children in Buikwe, a small town in southern Uganda. It will be an amazing opportunity to get my hands dirty and really make a difference.
There simply aren’t enough schools in Uganda and the children who do manage to get an education usually have to leave at 14 and start labouring to support their families.
Can you imagine if your opportunities to learn and progress were taken away from you at the age of 14. Where would you be now? What would you be doing with your life? What kind of a future would your children have without education?
In this country, we take education for granted, yet it is such an important source of opportunity and prosperity. I really hope that my very small contribution in Uganda will help even one child to realise their dreams.
Please help me raise funds for this worthwhile cause. It is a long-term project set up by Ogilvy Group (of which my employer, Coley Porter Bell is a member), and is in partnership with an established charity called International Need who have a strong and sustainable presence in Uganda. The project is called Many Ogilvy Hands because there is a belief that many hands make light work and the more people that get involved, the quicker we can start changing things for the better.

Thank you so much for your support.
