Mountbatten is the Isle of Wight's only hospice and is known for innovation across the UK and beyond. We provide expert medical, nursing and domiciliary end of life care and bereavement support to people in their own homes, including care homes, in our Newport building and in the local hospital.

Story

Margaret and Peter were the first ones to welcome us when we arrived at the Scot's Kirk many years ago and since then, have been inspiring role models to us.
They have guided and helped us over the years becoming great friends.  They encapsulate strength, perseverance and hope which is what we will need to run "the good race" in life and in Paris this Palm Sunday.  That is how this idea came about.  As we train, we think and pray for Margaret and Peter and would like to raise money for a charity that is important to them as a way to say thank-you to them for their love and kindness to us and countless other people.  They choose the Earl Mountbatten Hospice from whom Margaret is receiving excellent care. Please sponsor our Paris Marathon run and by doing so, thank them for giving of themselves to all of us.
