Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

From Thursday 26 October at 8.30pm, myself and a good friend Ian Stephen, experienced a 24 hour period without food or shelter - symbolic of the suffering that thousands of survivors are enduring each day in the regions affected by the Asian Earthquake, which occurred on my birthday 8 October.

We allowed ourselves only water, with clothing / small blanket just warm enough to withstand the night cold and a plastic sheet incase of rain. We slept in a bush on the South Bank - quite a (soggy) experience!

If you have not had a chance to donate to the relief effort and would still like to do so please do so online today! Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: British Red Cross will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. Many many thanks for your contribution and support.
