In October I plan to trek with The Fostering Network along the Inca Trail in Peru and reach Macchu Picchu which sits at 4,200m or 12,000ft high in the Andes.

Everyday in the UK there are 50,000 children or young people in foster care and many of them will move foster homes at least three times. Young people in care are four times more likely to have a mental health disorder, three times more likely to be convicted of a criminal offence, they are also more likely to become homeless and 75% will leave school without any qualifications.

I hope to raise lots of money to help meet the needs of these children and young people and with the work of The Fostering Network change these frightening statistics.

I am putting in my own money to meet the cost of the trek so all the money you donate will go directly towards the work of the charity.
