Hello people.

On March 27th I will embark on a 2978km hitch hiking mission to Marrakech, Morocco. Awaiting me on April 6th is a flight back to Gatwick leaving me with 10 full days to complete my journey to the north-west tip of Africa.

Originally I never intended for this trip to be associated with making money for charity, I simply fancied an Easter excursion. However after having a prolonged session of musing over a cup of tea I decided that doing this hitch for charity was a good idea.

Apart from putting the odd copper in a charity tin and being sold at a University charity toy boy auction, I've never really done anything for charity - so now I will.

The charity that your donation will be going to is The Stroke Association which aims to reduce strokes as well as helping support victims and their families. I'm sure you can all recognise that your donations will be going to a worthy cause.

Although I have set a fundraising target of £300, this is only because I couldn't write N/A in that box. Any money raised is a bonus, whether it's £300 or 300p, there will be money going to a great cause, the total is not important.

I will be accompanied on this trip by the lovely Sarah Joy who will also be raising money through this donation page. I'm also planning to sell her in Morocco for charity funds.
