Well we did it! :-) We all had a fantastic day and we were so lucky the sun was shining for us which made the walk the success it was. Only one wee glitch when we took a wrong turning and had to double back (so we really did more than the 10 miles!) but Mum soon had us back on the right road :-) Bella & Kodi probably covered twice the distance we did and there was some swimming in the loch for them none of us were brave enough! We ended with a well earned drink at the Hotel and a wee award ceremony! :-)
There are some photos from the day attached, we did do it :-) Safe to say I have many more if you'd like the link then just get in touch with one of us and we can pass it on.
Thanks again to everyone that has supported us and donated it really means so much to us and we appreciate you taking the time to do so, the money raised will make a difference.
Love & hope

Hi, thank you so much for visiting our fundraising page we really appreciate your support.
Everyone is at risk of developing Alzheimer's disease. Alzheimer's disease destroys memory and, depending on its severity, it gradually deprives its sufferers of their ability to cope with the ordinary demands of life. To make matters worse, it is not immediately apparent to others. And in most cases you find alongside the sufferer a spouse, suffering as much if not more!
The work of the Alzheimer's Research Trust is aimed at helping everyone affected by Alzheimer's and eliminating the risk to us all in the future.
There is over half a million people with Alzheimer's in the UK today and my Dad is one of them. This figure is predicted to double within a generation!! That’s one million sufferers and at least another million family carers. The effects on the sufferer and the family are devastating and we would like to reduce that predicted figure. The Alzheimer's Research Trust is the leading UK research charity for Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. It funds vital research into the causes, treatment and prevention of dementia and provides free information about Alzheimer's and the progress of research. The Trust does not receive any government funding and relies on voluntary donations to fund its crucial research.
Despite encouraging recent advances, there is still no cure for Alzheimer's disease and more research is desperately needed. The Alzheimer's Research Trust is dedicated to building on, and expanding, its work to conquer this devastating and debilitating disease.

We have decided to raise the much needed funds by organising a 10 mile sponsored walk, to take place on 29th August at Loch Kinnord, Dinnet. Were hoping to have some fun along the way as well as raise as much money as we can so that the research trust can lead us to a cure for this devastating disease.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Alzheimer's Research Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please please dig deep and sponsor us now!
Thank you so much. X
