- Having experienced Breast Cancer myself 3 years ago, my partner David with Bowel Cancer 2 years ago . My mum with Breast Cancer 8 years ago. Other members of my Family and Friends having survived and lost their battle with different cancers, entering this years race for life means I can do my bit in raising more money to finally get a cure for this terrible disease and bring an end to the fear and heartache that comes along with it.
