Well I did it! Every mile of the 84, and yes I did have very sore feet at the end of it! My walking poles were being used rather more like crutches at the end of each day. Saying that I did enjoy (most of) it - some lovely views, especially on the second and third day. For the climbers I did admire Crag Lough in the sunset as we sped past it trying to get the last few miles finished before dark! Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored me, and if you're visiting this page and haven't...there's still time! Thanks for visiting my fundraising page! On 17th October, I will be one of a group of hardcore walkers (well I can pretend...) setting out to walk the length of Hadrian's Wall, from one side of the country to the other. We will be walking about 84 miles in 4 days which is rather a lot of miles per day - with lots of hills....quite a lot for my spindly legs to cope with anyway!
Many of you will know that I have been training with the International Rescue Corps for the past few years. What you may not know is that all of us are volunteers and all the money required to train and equip members, as well as supporting our missions, comes from donations and our own fundraising efforts - so please give generously!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: International Rescue Corps gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you very much for visiting this page and I hope you can sponsor me.
