We help people diagnosed with a brain tumour. We aim to give everyone diagnosed access to the resources that will put them back in control. We enable brain tumour patients and carers to become resilient and to utilise brain tumour support resources from all providers to their full potential.

Story

My step-son Jonathan, 20 this year was diagnosed with a brain tumour the size of a tennis ball on 30th July 2007.

Unfortunately the early signs of the tumour showed itself  by way of a personality change because it was on his frontal lobe.  Obviously, as a teenager this can easily be confused as bad behaviour.  As a consequence of this several psychologists  and doctors misdiagosed it.

Upon Alison's insistance for a brain scan, the correct diagnosis was made 2 weeks before Jonathan would have died.  He was operated on within 24 hours and they managed to removed 95% of the tumour, unfortunately it was a grade 3 cancerous one, and therefore Jonathan had to receive a course of radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

The experts have decided to continue with the chemotherapy because of the aggressive nature of the tumour and therefore Jonathan has received this 5 days out of 28 for the last 2 years.

He is doing amazingly well, and despite the set backs he had during his teens ,as a result of the tumour, he has picked himself up and is now studing to be a Personal Trainer.  Jonathan and my wife, Alison, ran the London 10k last year and raised and amazing £5k, it is now my turn (well thats what Alison says!)  so please help me by sponsoring me in supporting this marvellous charity which can help others achieve the success that we have had with Jonathan.
