Paris Marathon 2009 · 5 April 2009 ·

Epilepsy Action is creating a world without limits for everyone affected by epilepsy, connecting people with others, and providing support and information you can trust. We’re calling out the misunderstanding, prejudice and barriers that stop people with epilepsy living their best life.

Story

Hi everyone, thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I am power walking the Paris Marathon on Sunday 05 April 2009, supported by my walking buddy Una.  Our training for this marathon has been going very well, even with a sore achilles tendon!  We have to complete the marathon in 5 hours 40mins to claim our medal! Am pleased to say we are upto speed and very much looking forward to the event.

I have chosen to support Epilepsy Action as a close family member has been affected by this condition.  It would most appreciated if you could support my efforts in fund raising for this worthwhile charity.

Una has decided that we need to wear something eye catching! Watch out for the photo's!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Epilepsy Action gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please please sponsor me! and help me achieve my target.

The day of reckoning is rapidly approaching and we are getting really excited - can't wait to get started

WE DID IT! - IN 5 HOURS 35MIN.  We had so much fun, walking through the streets of Paris in our bright pink tutu's! - we have never been photographed so much!! Our medals have pride of place! Where shall we go next I wonder! Thank you so much to everyone who has sponsored me.
