The Sick Kids Friends Foundation supports the work of the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Edinburgh. We provide funding over and above NHS provision, to purchase vital extra's, which help to make time spent in hospital better for sick children and their families.

Strathpuffer: "The world's only winter 24 hour MTB race. 17 hours of darkness."

This is my second year at Strathpuffer - a mountain bike race on trails around Strathpeffer, 175 miles north of Edinburgh. Starting at 10AM on Saturday, the race continues to Sunday morning, with the flag falling at 1100AM. Last year the conditions were sheet ice turning to muddy slop as the weather warmed - I'll settle for just the slop this time round!

I would appreciate your donation of any amount you can manage - last year I raised over £350 which goes directly to Sick Kids Friends Foundation.
