We raise funds for research to help improve treatments & diagnosis

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We intend to participate in the Stornoway half marathon on Saturday 29th May 2010, where we shall be raising money for “The Myositis Support Group”.  This is a charity which gives support and advise to Myositis sufferers & their carer’s.

Inclusion Body Myositis is a very rare condition that has recently become close to our hearts due to a very close family member being diagnosed with the condition.  This is an extremely rare condition which affect's the body's muscles and as yet there is no cure.  Research is therefore of vital importance but due to its rarity the government appear reluctant to pour much, if any fund's towards researching a cure for it.

More information can be found through the charity link - www.myositis.org.uk

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please give a good will gesture to this cause.

Many thanks - Lorraine & Allan Morrison
