London to Paris Cycle Challenge 2009 · 9 September 2009 ·

When disaster strikes, Merlin's medical experts are there, doing whatever it takes to save lives. And when the cameras have moved on, we stay. Taking communities from emergency to recovery, we work together to revive health services in some of the world's toughest places.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!

On 9th September, I - a girl who currently doesn't own a pair of trainers - will be attempting to cycle from London to Paris, a trip that covers 500km and will last 5 days.  It is highly likely that, even if I make it to the French capital, my bum will be so sore that I will be unable to sit down for several weeks.

So why am I putting myself through this? The simple answer is:

!!!!!!!!!!!To raise money for Merlin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Merlin (Medical Emergency Relief International) is a British
medical charity that is driven by one aim: to provide health care for people at times when they are most in need. Their medical teams act fast to help people during emergencies, including natural disasters and conflicts.

Your money will directly help some of the world's poorest and vulnerable people in some of the world's most difficult and dangerous environments.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Merlin (Medical Emergency Relief International) gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Please help me to make this crazy physical challenge I'm putting myself through super-worthwhile!

Many thanks in advance for all your support, it really does mean a lot.
