Tough Mudder 2013 - Scotland · 24 August 2013 to 25 August 2013 ·

The ME Association campaigns hard to get ME recognised as a severe neurological illness. Our helpline provides essential information and support to adults and children who have ME/CFS, and to their families and carers. We also fund biomedical research into the physical nature and causes of ME/CFS.

Story

I have run 3 Marathons and a few smaller races in my time and I do it for the love of running. This time it’s different for the past 2.5 years I have been fighting a condition called ME/CFS a very misunderstood and under researched condition.  I have been bed bond for 16 hours a day plus couldn’t walk to the local shop sever physical pain and psychological torture. It has been a very turbulent time. There is no magic cure but I have found a balance were I can work rest and train within limitations. I would like to put something back into the ME Association to continue the research and hopefully one day find a cure. This condition affects thousands of people at different times in their life and at different levels of severity. I would like to raise as much money as I can for this so please people dig deep and give a little to this cause. Having been in an absolute impossible position I have come out the other side! the money raised could help other people do the same.
