The Aspire Channel Swim 2009 · 6 December 2009 ·

Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am taking part in the Aspire Channel Swim.

Aspire is a charity supporting those with Spinal Cord Injury.

Each year they encourage people to swim the length of the English Channel in 12 weeks at their local pool and raise money for Aspire whilst doing it.

This is the tenth year of this event. It is my first time of taking part.

My local pool is 25 m in length so to achieve the 22 miles in 12 weeks I have to swim 118 lengths a week.

I do hope you will give generously to this worthwhile cause and encourage me to keep going and raise both money and my fitness levels.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. So please dig deep and donate now.

Thank you very much! :-)
