Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
For anyone who doesn't already know, I'm 40 this year and have decided to mark it by running the Dublin City Marathon. This is taking place in October, but before all then was my birthday in June. I decided to combine them both (sort of) by asking friends to donate the cost of a card (if you were going to send me one!) to the Scottish Cot Death Trust. Anyone who knows me knows I'm extremely difficult to please so therefore anyone considering getting me a gift, found it a lot easier to send a donation instead!
It's 3 years on since we lost Áine to cot death. Every happy occasion is always overshadowed by a feeling of how it should have been. It would really make me happy to think my birthday this year will go some way towards preventing other families feel the loss we feel every day.
I will leave this page open until I complete the Dublin City Marathon and any funds raised in Scotland will all go to the Scottish Cot Death Trust and all Irish donations will go to the Irish Sudden Infant Death Association.
Thanks again for everyones continued support. I'm hoping to retire from running after the marathon!
