Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page for Alopecia UK. 

18 of us ran the Cardiff 10K last September and I later ran the Cardiff Half Marathon. I'm planning more running this year, so have re-opened my page. Last year, we raised over £2,000. What an amazing achievement! 

The sponsorship that Alopecia UK receive really does mean a lot, because we receive very little external funding, so the work we do relies on sponsorships. 

I lost my hair 12 years ago and found the experience devastating and lonely. I knew of no-one else with alopecia, so raising funds to continue the fantastic work of Alopecia UK is very important to me, to provide the support and information to people being diagnosed. I would like other people to believe that you can find strength and confidence to overcome this often life-changing and challenging condition. 

Hair loss comes in various different forms. It is the loss of some or all of the hair, often on the head but can also affect other parts of the body. Such a dramatic appearance change can result in loss of confidence, self esteem and psychological trauma. There is currently no known cure and no treatment guaranteed to induce hair re-growth and sustainable remission.

Alopecia UK is there to help at this difficult time. We offer information, advice and support to people of all ages with alopecia. To improve the lives of those affected by alopecia, please dig deep and donate now. Thank you.
