Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Yes, I am off across the Alps again to raise much needed funds for Cancer Research UK in the fight aginst cancer.
Last year my friend of 25 years, Kevin Cochrane was planning to join me, but unfortunatley he lost his personal fight against cancer and passed away just one week after we returned safely to the UK. It is in Kevin's memory that I intend to raise funds once again to help beat cancer and it is only with your support and donations can this become a reality.
This year my 12 year old son George, is joining me as navigator and we intend to complete the trip over the Alps in just 3 days off roading.
Once again my challenge is called 'Alpine Off Road Challenge 2010' which involves driving off road in an expedition prepared vehicle over 180 miles of some of the toughest alpine terrain in the depth's of winter.
We need maticulous planning, sound vehicle preparation and plenty of determination (plus a little luck!) to complete this challenge. All we ask in return is your kindness and goodwill to donate as much as you can afford through this website.
Every penny you donate goes direct to Cancer Research UK.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thank you,
Mike and George Metcalf
