Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We - Dan Martell & Niall Flynn - are cycling from Altrincham to Histon (Cambridge) on 25th and 26th April to raise funds for Altrincham Football Club Community Sports Hall & The Motor Neurone Disease Association.

The journey is 152 miles long and we are aiming to cycle 104 miles on Friday 25th April and 48 miles on Saturday 26th, with a target arrival time of 1pm on Saturday before Altrincham FC's final league game of the 2013/14 Skrill North season. Along the way, we will be stopping at Buxton FC, Matlock Town, Alfreton Town, Notts County, Nottingham Forest and St Ives Town. We'd like to thank them for their support.

There are 2 ways you can donate:

1- Via this JustGiving Page

2- By putting your name, contact details and donation amount on the sponsor forms at Altrincham FC. They will be in the Noel White Suite and the Club Shop at The J. Davidson Stadium.

The money we raise will be split equally between Altrincham Football Club & The Motor Neurone Disease Association, although the money raised via this page will go solely to The Motor Neurone Disease Association.

As many will know, ex-Altrincham FC captain and club legend, Mark Maddox, was diagnosed with Motor Neurone disease in November 2010 and has defied doctors by taking part in a number of personal challenges. This April, "Maddog" will take part in his third marathon, becoming the first person ever to attempt the London Marathon twice with MND.

The Altrincham FC Community Sports Hall development is a major project that will benefit both the football club and the local community. It is expected to cost up to £750,000, with the club looking to raise around £200,000 from a series of fund-raising activities and sponsorship support from local businesses

Let's all dig deep

Thanks very much,

Dan and Niall
