Your money will improve/build 9 schools in the poorest region of and this will translate in more that you’d imagine:
Education: At the moment 2/3 of the adult population of the country are illiterate. The Civil War resulted in the destruction of 1,270 primary schools and in 2005 60% of all school-age children were out of school. This school will be a step towards a brighter future. Health: The schools will provide vital education on how to prevent diseases such as AIDS, tuberculosis or malaria. In addition they have new wells, which will bring to the community the luxury of clean water. Sex discrimination: Better installations have proved to reduce the risk of sexual assaults to young girls and make parent less redundant to send their daughter to school. Education for girls has particularly striking social benefits: incomes are higher and maternal and infant mortality rates are lower for educated women, who also have more personal freedom in making choices. Sustainability: new installations give prestige to the school and higher social status to their teachers. Well trained teachers have an incentive to remain in the school instead of leaving to bigger towns or cities. War: Someone said once "Education makes people easy to lead, but difficult to drive; easy to govern, but impossible to enslave” Environment: well, not much on this front, sorry.
