In October I received the "all clear" from breast cancer so to celebrate I decided to apply for the 2009 London Marathon.  I was very lucky to be offered a place to run for "Breakthrough" but one of the things I hate most, apart from going out for a run on a cold wet morning, is asking people for money.  I do however regard myself as being very privileged to have the opportunity to raise funds for such a worthwhile charity and I am very grateful to you for visiting my site.

Training is going quite well and to date I can run five miles in the time that it takes to cook macaroni cheese, well to be honest, just a bit longer than it takes to cook macaroni cheese, another burnt dinner, still, I am sure I will get faster!
