Story

Hi Everyone,

Don't laugh at the awful picture of me, but I had just ran 26.2 miles!  Hope I can manage to finish this year's marathon, as I have not been able to do very much training due to my course.

I have chosen to run for The Cornel Rehabilitation Centre Trust, whose aim is to provide a rehabilitation centre near Constanta for diabled Romanian people.  Once constructed the centre will provide prostheses and orthoses for those unfortunate individuals who have not received any treatment for their disabilities.  At present in Romania there is very little provision for the disabled.

The Trust has been set up by Cornel Hrisca-Munn, born in Romania in 1992, and whom is severely disabled himself.  Cornel went to the same school as my daughter and is the most remarkable young man.  In March 2004 in recognition for his own fund raising efforts he was awarded "The Pride of Britain Child of Courage Award".

Land has already been donated to the Trust to build the centre, but for building work to commence extra funds are still needed, so every penny donated will be gratefully appreciated.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Cornel Romanian Rehabilitation Centre Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
